Discovery and routing
From service-instance snapshots to a routing decision.
Discover instances
Cluster includes Consul, ZooKeeper, Polaris, Nacos, and Gossip modules. The Consul README describes registration, deregistration, and initial and changed snapshot subscriptions. It does not require Spring, and clients can be application-owned.
Select an instance
Cluster Core routing observation covers rule matching, instance selection, and asynchronous waiting. It ends before connection lookup, transport writes, backend execution, and caller callbacks; routing duration is not end-to-end request latency.
Attach routing metrics
A three-argument DefaultRouterFactory constructor accepts a stable scope and resolves optional recorders through TelemetryRegistry while assembling routers. Observation is disabled without a provider. Each observed configuration needs a stable route ID.
