Networking and NX
Find transport implementations, NX frame types, and header codecs.
Transport modules
The Java project contains dedicated QUIC, TCP, WebSocket, and embedded transport modules. Select a transport based on the client environment, network conditions, and module configuration; their behavior is not interchangeable in every setting.
NX frames
The Frame interface defines type constants for Handshake, Request, Response, Notification, Data, Ping, Setting, KeepAlive, and Reset. These are message units for connection setup, business interactions, and connection control. Consult implementations such as MessageCodecV1Impl for encoding details.
NXPACK and scope
The nexus/nx/codec/nxpack package contains encoders, decoders, dynamic and static tables, and Huffman components. This is a source-navigation guide, not a formal wire specification. Check actual codecs and tests when validating cross-language interoperability.
| Frame type | ID |
|---|---|
| Handshake | 1 |
| Request | 2 |
| Response | 3 |
| Notification | 4 |
| Data | 5 |
| Ping | 6 |
| Setting | 7 |
| KeepAlive | 8 |
| Reset | 9 |
