Cluster load monitoring

Use local pressure measurements for new selections, without implicit migration.

master · 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT / Reviewed 2026-10-29

Module responsibilities

Cluster Monitor samples local node pressure and evaluates capacity for new selection. It does not install request circuit breakers, retries, admission middleware, or ownership migration. The original nextrix-nexus-health remains for comparison; applications opt into this module separately.

Sampling and threads

DefaultLoadMonitor uses an owned or external scheduler. Sampling does not execute on game threads or network event loops. Sources should perform short local measurements rather than network calls. JDK and OSHI sources cover runtime and system metrics.

Existing entity behavior

Even when a node advertises zero weight, existing room ownership, location routes, and sticky hits continue using saved targets. Distinguish observation, future selection, and existing entity management explicitly.
